Course: Mental Health First Aid for Adults Working with Youth

Penn State Extension is offering a course on "Mental Health First Aid for Adults Working with Youth" for adults in Pennsylvania. This is for any after-school personnel, camp counselors, coaches, community members, parents/caregivers, school staff/teachers, youth group leaders, etc. 

This course is designed to teach adults who regularly interact with youth, how to provide initial support to youth experiencing mental health or addiction challenges and assist them in finding the help and care they need. The MFA course consists of two hours of self-paced online learning and six-hours of live instructor-led virtual classes.

Register by March 1, 2023 for the LIVE sessions on Tue., Mar. 14, 2023 (12:45 PM - 4:00 PM ET) and Wed., Mar. 15, 2023 (8:45 AM - 12:00 PM ET)

Thanks to the ROTA-R grant, these trainings are FREE to the first 100 participants. Registration is restricted to Pennsylvania residents. 

A certificate will be available online after completion of the course.

Thanks to the ROTA-R grant, these trainings are FREE to the first 100 participants (normally PSUE charges $35 per person). This is restricted to Pennsylvania residents. The discount will be automatically applied at registration.
